NO chamois drying needed -- and no water spots . . . . THansenite 05-31-2006, 06:17 PM Meguiars all the way Tom_P 05-31-2006, 07:16 PM Meguiars NXT, from shampoo to wax to tyre clean. OldYeller 05-31-2006, 10:34 PM Take a look at Detailing under the Tech section for some pointers. I use the Mr. Clean system and like it. Sometimes I just use the system to spray on the soft water at the end so the car drys without spots. I use a lot of Meguires products for touch up and such. xnevergiveinx 06-01-2006, 03:01 AM the big no-no is dish soaps, they strip the wax off. I use both Mothers and Meguiars products. i use dishsoap to strip the wax from my car once a year, it does a great job. nxt make my paint look amazing, but it you apply it heavy, you will be buffing for hours, trust me i know my stuff: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y99/dorkultra/stuff.jpg PhotoKyle 06-01-2006, 07:00 PM My wash regimen uses the following tools... -Pressure washer (for wheel wells, wheels, tires) -Soap- Almost anything is better than dish soap -5 sheepskin wash mitts -5 five gallon buckets, two buckets on each side of the car. One bucket on each side has soap, the other has clean water. The fifth bucket is clean water and is just a 'holding pen' for the wash mitts -Grit Guard in four buckets -Foam gun -Boar's hair brush for doing SUVs and stuff I'm pretty damn anal... I have been using it for the last 2 months on a regular basis and it is amazing. makes the paint soooo much deeper, I wax one panel at a time and compair and the difference is night and day. Ive used just about every kind of wax and so far zymol is my absolute favorite. xnevergiveinx 06-02-2006, 03:34 PM anyone here use zymol wax? Ive used just about every kind of wax and so far zymol is my absolute favorite. zymol that you buy in the stores is actually rebottled turtlewax. now, you can get zymol for $50+ a bottle, it's better, but zaino bros kills it. zymol even has some highend wax that is $1200 a bottle. i had good results with turtlewax ultragloss, it looked amazing, but only lasted about a week. have yet yo try turtlewax ice, because i like nxt a lot bB2NER 06-05-2006, 01:24 AM for washing use blue coral car wash soap.. walmart, a couple ounces in a couple gallons of water .. cleans great without stripping off the wax. Dry only with microfiber towel, followed by Meguires NXT wax.. also remove using microfiber cloth.. and every couple months clay bar for super results.
