I've been told by the stealership that my A/C condenser has taken a"shot" from a rock or something and that it has a hole in it...That must be why the A/C hasn't worked since last fall.... I should be able to pull a condenser from a A/C equipped Echo at the local "yard" after I confirm the issue. Any other older model Toyotas sharing the same part or equivalant. Any help, ideas, hints would be greatly appreciated.....SC

 

I can sympathize, as I have the same problem, but sadly, no helpful hints for you.

 

Check with a place online that sells condensers and cross check part numbers with an Echo. You might get lucky. Also now that so many xBs are getting wrecked you might be able to get one from an xB. Good luck and make sure you vacuum out the system and change the accumulator prior to re-charging it. Keep us posted please?
