Default New "oven" cover cost from dealer

Does any one know how much the dealer would charge for a "oven" cover. The stereo installer scratched it up, and I need to get a replacement. They are going to cover the cost, but i would just like a have a $ figure.

Thanks

Hmm... the dealer probably charges an arm and a leg for a new cover. Have you tried buffing and waxing the sucker?

l0l - the laptop mount that i made - when i was test fitting it before adding the life-saving bandana - also scratched the top of my oven cover! lol

but in general my interior has the crap scratched outta it. my gf loves crossing her legs in the passenger seat and i dont know how, but she managed to created some seriously huge and deep scratches in the glove comp' door...

normally i would be fuming but i am realizing that there is more to life than what's at the surface. it feels so good now to not be fuming over a couple of scratches, frankly, right now, i dont give a f about 'em. ;]

I think I saw a post for like $160 for new. If you wind up with a new one I am sure you can get some money for the old one from someone who would want to paint it.

Yeah, the stereo shop just left a message that they would be replacing it at there cost. So i didn't ask how much it was going to cost. It is not that messed up, just a few scratches. I will definetly try to sell it. PM if if anyone is interested. I will get some pic later today

Here's my story behind my scratched cover:

Hmm should I really start on the service department at Joseph? I could type ALOT. Sales side of things has been great so far.

Heres two pictures, that I won't go into to much detail on other than the first one being the place where a small flatblade screwdriver or the like was used to remove the blank plate to install my foglight switch.

And the other being the extra scuffs/scratches that were so gracefully put on my center console cubby door when the aforementioned foglights and short shifter was installed. As of now the part is to be on order and when it comes in they'll get the blemished assembly on their parts counter and I'll get my new assembly. They can leave their techs out of the equation as I'll throw it back in there myself. The service manager has left a very bad taste in my mouth. We'll see how an update turns out in a few days.

My dealer did the same thing. They scratched the hell out of the oven door and glove box when installing the short shifter. I didn't leave the dealership unti they ordered new parts at their expense. I don't know how much the parts were but in order to replace the oven door they had to replace the entire box. I'm nost sure you can get just the door itself. I still have the new glove box door sitting in my garage, haven't thought to change it yet.

These are some drawer options that I found on ebay. My drawer is scratched up as well, so one of these may replace the oem drawer with the door removed completely.[/img]
