Default What car cleaning products do you rate the highest?

Right now I'm pretty impressed with some of the Meguiar's polishes and cleaners, but what's got my interest now is that new turtle wax ice stuff. Since it's clear it seems like the problem of getting white dried polish off trim won't be an issue.

I'm also looking for something which cleans/protects the interior trim without making it too shiny or greasy. I'm not very impressed with armorall wipes because they make the dash so shiny, it reflects sun up onto the windscreen at times.

One last thing I'm looking for is a tire dressing but one which doesn't look shiny/wet.

I know this is one of the most boring aspects of cars but if anyone has some recommendations on what cleaning/detailing products are good, I'd appreciate it.

car wash soap- Blue Corral wash and wax concentrate. Cheap at Walmart but works fine for washing
Clay Bar for use prior to waxing
Meguires NXT for wax- esay on and off with great shine that lasts for a couple months.
For scratch remover I swear by Scratch Fix. A must for Scion paint. lol

probably zaino bros. polish and wax, everyone who is an autopian seems to agree on that.
for a paint cleaner, everyone seems to like klasse all in one

for something you can pick up at autozone etc, i like:
meg's nxt tech wax
turtle wax ultra gloss and ice
claymagic claybar (meg's claybars are too small)
meg's carnuba wax
scratch X for swirls. i need to buy a porter cable to get it looking perfect

Wow way too many products and by their names they sound expensive.
With the quality of today's wax who needs glaze? Just seems like too many products stacked up on the paint surface to me. And for glass all that is needed is Invisible Glass. I forgot about that.

glazes help to hide some swirling. as you all know, toyota paint is kinda easy to get swirled up. glazing the paint prior to waxing helps to conceal some of the defects.

Oh OK. Guess I've been doing it wrong for the past 20 years of car shows

I wasn't trying to rag on your knowledge of detailing dude.... I'm a detailing enthusiast, i do know what i'm talking about. yes, some of the currently available OTC waxes are alright, the amount of fillers in them don't come near that of a good glaze.

I've just never been a fan of glazes. They are a temporary fix that gets washed away. If the paint has scratches or swirls I prefer to work them out permanently then wax and be done with it. Thats all.
Now let's un-jack this thread. SORRY

Neothin definately knows his stuff, he has helped me out big time in the past with his advice. Glazes do make a difference. It may not be so apparent on lighter colored cars, but I've done several black and red cars. After polishing, I followed up with RMG, and then Natty's Blue. You could definately tell the difference, made the paint richer looking.
