I was wondering i have NYC Inspection coming up in August, I have Alphawerks Headers, Injen CAI, and TRD Exhaust but thats coming off cause i jsut ordered the Draxas Exhaust with S-Pipe...i was wondering how did u guys get ur inspection passed, and how could i get inspection passed with out taking off my headers...or would it jsut pass with the headers on

 

find a place where u know somebody, family or friend, or slip em a $20

 

Im glad I live in an area w/o that intense of an inspection. We actually ridded of inspections all together. Our govenor declared them to be a "hassel not worth"

 

You have inspection already? In Jersey we get 4 yrs until we have to go for inspection on new cars...Like i wont have to go until 2009

 

in NYC, it's a good idea to find a good friendly mech that wont hassle you about mods. If not and you may end up going to any gas station or mechanic, then they will check everything including brakes, lights.... just about everything. They wont make you run the dyno since it's OBD-II scan now. For that, as long as there are no CEL, youre good.

no, in NY/NJ/CT, any car made after 1997 will not run the dyno (until they change that rule) and have gas levels inspected. All they do for emissions test is scan OBD-II, which means they reach under drivers side dash, get the plug for computer and plug it in, no CEL, A-OK.
