Default surfing the web and ran across this

http://www.gtechpro.com/ss.html

it reads your hp, torque, 1/4 mile, and other things,
the website explains it all but i was just wondering what you guys think about it......its about $200....my question is is it worth spending that amount of money on such a product?

i was just thinking it would be nice to see how much hp and torque u have instead of dynoing it, or after u put on a header or cai to see how much power it gained....

i bought that not too long ago. i'm not a hardcore hp modder or a racer or anything, its just for looks i guess. its cool cuz its a tach meter as well. i havent used it to read my HP or Torque or 0-60 yet because i'm still new to driving stick and i dont want to ruin the car... yet :]

if you want, i can take pics of it inside my car. i mounted it onto the driver side pillar. its pretty nice because it glows orange just like the oem glow of the stereo and all that stuff.

A friend of mine has the gtech pro RR. We used it on another guy's accord and it seemed to work pretty well. If your curious to see what your car can do, i think that thing is pretty fun, plus some of your friends will probably want to try it out.

here is the cool part. it doesnt need any wire splicing or anything. all it needs is power. it connects just like a radar detector thru the cig lighter, i still dont get how it figures out your RPMs and such thru that but yeah, it works. haha

serious? nice, i might buy one but im a little skeptical of readings comming from your cig lighter. plus ive already got a radar detector in that socket. is the power cord coiled up or just a regular straight cord?

crap. i dont remember. my friend from circuit city cut up the power cord and rewired/relocated, ran it thru the driver pillar and tapped into some power wired under the fuse. i think it was coiled just like the radar detector.

you have to calibrate the RPMs and you get to set up the redline and stuff before you actually use it.

here is an outside pic of where i mounted it. its an old picture so i'll try to take a new one tonight or tomorrow morning.

its right above the SE sticker on the driver side.

I have the RR version. I like it a lot and play with it from time to time. It is definitely interesting and the tach is actually pretty helpful. It as a sequence of lights that leads up to whatever shift point you tell it too and it flashes when it is time to shift. I have also played with the 0-60, 60 foot, dyno and other stuff and it can be really interesting if you interested in that kind of stuff. It was cool to see how my HP curve changed with my turbo. Anyways if you are manual and you like to play with numbers then I would recommend this product.
