OK all,

I have been enjoying the clean sound from the Scion Pioneer iPod interface. Like some, though, I find it mildly frustrating that the controls on the iPod are locked when it's plugged in. I know you can start a song and then plug in, but that's obviously a pain. The interface on the HU is fine, but I wholeheartedly agree with critics who complain about how long it takes to get to the "Ws" in your song playlist. The click wheel is much faster.

So - has anyone heard ideas or rumors about unlocking the iPod controls while it's plugged in?

 

I've heard nothing about a hack for this but take heart, I upgraded my headunit and it's much worse trying to move through the songs. It takes a lot longer to get through the searches and it's the same for all of the aftermarket headunits I asked about.
