Default Did they make a mistake with the front gauges??

what i mean is why do they have the TACH on the right side shouldnt it be on the left side?? Isnt that kinda logical to have the RPM gauge on the left side of the MPH gauge?? I think they should have stayed wit that concept..o well i still love the car

My Mercedes had the tach on the right side of the speedometer. Did the concept have them differently?

Tach always goes on the right.

That way when your looking down the Drag Lane your eyes should always be looking over the top of the tach.

People that mount their tachs on the left windshield post are kindof wrong (if there is such a thing as "the wrong way").

Usually these types of tachs have shift lights so where you mount them isn't a big deal...however OLD SCHOOL street rodder's will mount it on the dash just to the right of the wheel. Some will even mount it on the right side of the column. That way when you get in you don't kick it or hit it with your knee.

My 2 cents

I agree, the tach should be on the left not on the right. Ahh well.

The tach should be right in the middle, where the speedo is. Then again, this car will be sold mostly in automatic form to a bunch of people who bought it simply because it has a big moonroof (yet the RAV4 of all things does have a central tach). As for left or right of the speedometer, there is no standard.

Yeah... I used to love my centered tach on my Rav4... I never paid any attention to the speedo though.

I test drove it yesterday and I like the tachometer on the right side. I was careful on the test drive, shifting at around 3000-4000.

they also mount them on their hood, right in front of them so they dont have to look back into the cockpit.

Also, they fuel gauge has 1/1; 1/2 and E on it, that might confuse some people... But the Silver gauges are really nice. Especially the aluminum center panel!

Same on all MR2s and Supras, left or right handed drive. I personally don't think I've never seen one of the right. :?:

Mine has 1/1; 1/2, and R. What the heck is 'R' for? 'Refill'?!

I think R is for "reserve" as in the reserve tank when your fuel runs out. Am I right?

Yes, R stands for Reserve. It is somewhat common on many fuel gauges.
