Could be a bad unit, could be bad wiring. Go get a smart harness for the Toyota (80-1761) and JVC (JV1680A) and try again. If that doesn't work, try exchanging out the headunit. could always be a Bad in Box.

Sounds like the wiring is messed up.. Go over your install again.

sounds like you stole the constant (memory) power from the clock...

the HU resets because the 12v+ and 12vswitched are reversed...

Dude WTH are you talkin about you can't steal power from the clock, its in the instument cluster!

Radio 12v blue/yellow + radio harness
Radio Ground white/black - radio harness
Radio Ignition gray + radio harness
Radio Illumination green + radio harness
Factory Amp Turn-on N/A
Power Antenna black/red + radio harness
LF Speaker +/- pink - purple +,- radio harness
RF Speaker +/- lt. green - blue +,- radio harness
LR Speaker +/- black - yellow +,- radio harness
RR Speaker +/- red - white +,- radio harness

THERE no complaints. If you hardwired it in there are the colors. If you are using a aftermarket radio harness... just color match. Red, yellow, black, orange, and speakers. Should be no problem.

just double check the itty bitty tiny writing on the wiring harness.. most of the times the colors match up... but every now and then 1 wire or 2 is a different color...not just shade but flat out differnt color
