Anyone use any auto transporters?
If so, who and how was the experience?
Did you use open carrier or closed?
Let me know as soon as you can as I gotta get one booked in the next week!
Thanks.

Not too sure how much help I will be, but here it goes. I haven't done anything lately so it may have changed(as it usually does). I was in the military and have traveled a little like this. I went to the local car dealer where I got my car. They gave me the name of the people they used. I went home to think it over, and thank God I did. Do some searching Google or whoever and use auto transport. You will be amazed. Narrow it down with your needs and make a few calls. You are going far, so a little leg work up front will pay off huge. Trust me. I said thank God I did this searching because I saved about $600 on $1400 transport. Yep $800 done my car in my driveway.
Thing's you will need to check Insurance his and your's neccesary for transport. With his just make sure it is current and valid you know. You should call your provider and ask them if there are paper's to fill out or a fee. Trust me if it needs to be done do it if something happens his insurance may and probably won't cover your damage. You will be glad trust me in transit, especially that far anything could happen.
As far as transit you will probably find as I did that truck transit is usually cheaper. Train is more, but usually faster and safer. Truck's stop, the car could be vandalized or broken into. The truck trailers are usually open and road debris can hit the car. Who know's what truck cold lose a retread near your car and bang. Train's usually are faster because they don't stop. Train transporter's usually are fully enclosed with lock's and chain's. Oh well hope this help's get your baby safe to it's new home. Good luck with the move.

You will want to use a high end transport company that uses enclosed trailers and are fully insured.. They are often driven by car enthusiasts that take good care of your baby. If cost is an issue? Good luck with that.
i would highly recomend getting closed transportation.. a friend of mine had his 71' chevy c-10 (fully restored w/expensive paint job) shipped from california to wisconsin.. and from the rocks kicking up and hitting his truck left alot of paint chips.. with insurance wouldnf even cover the damage.. and couldnt really get it re-painted.. so he had to stick with it..
