Greetings & Introduction
Hello Fellow Scionics,
Well, I'm pleased to say, last friday I took delivery of my 2006 tC RS-02. And now 3 days later I have over 700 miles on it. Damn I love this car!!
A few things come to mind as I am waiting for delivery of my new intake and strut bar. I use a wheelchair, and I found out it is a pain in the ___ to open the hood and raise it enough to get the post up and secure. I was wondering if there are any aftermarket hood springs or hydraulic rods that will allow the hood to stay open.
The other thing is I've already put a few small scratches in the rocker panel on the dreivers side. This comes from taking my chair apart and loading it up. I was thinking of some way to protect this area. The best idea I've come up with is a few layers of clear vinyl from a local sign shop. Anyone else have sugestions?
I have spent a few hours reading and checking out differenet rides, and I look forward to much more in the future.
OK, one question before signing off. WTF is "Bump"?

Hey.. welcome to the forum and good luck with your ride.
I hate the way our hood opens as well, so this is the only solution that i cna think of that would be beneficial to you and to everyone.

thats a hood lift.. its a strut placed inside the engine bay and it will pop the hood for you
AND.. bump means... to take a post to the top.. to put it on the front page of the forum that you are in.
Like say you make a post and no one has looked at it for a day or two, you will post bump so that it will be put back on the first page and people will be forced to look at it
g' luck with the ride

Bronx dude!
Great tip, just called the local performance shop, it is called "Invisible Bra", and comes in rolls of 12" x 30", for about $25. Looks like I might need two rolls, but $50 is sure worth it!!!

congrats on the purchase. the rocker on my driver side is completely scratched up as well. there is a thread ^ there that basically says, "i recently bought a tC and i'm pretty happy with it" or "here are my issues with it".
your post would be better served up there. so, i'm gonna lock this and redirect you to this thread.
