hotbox05 07-26-2006, 11:32 AM a mini matrix. no you don'y currently have a mini matrix. the new xa/xa replacement will have 1.8 , get the same or better milegae , be a lil longer , and lower , and not so tall overall.
rumored to be on the new corolla platform.
the xa should fare much better than the new imo wrong direction xb replacement.
oneslowxa 07-26-2006, 01:54 PM hmm... 2zz =D doh same gas mileage =(
As long as it has more power feels connected to the road, and doesn't have drive by wire, I'll be happy...
oh and can't look so ugly where even a mother couldn't love it...
I'm itching to get another car, so hopefully it's released soon...
hotbox05 07-31-2006, 05:22 AM no not 2zz , it'll be the 1zz.

kdepew 09-10-2006, 06:25 PM I'm amazed some of you guys are already wanting a new car. 3 and 4 year old cars should typically still be in excellent shape.

Yeah...rriigghhtt. Don't trust evrything your salsmen says. I was at a Scion dealership about a month ago and the salsmen tryed to convince me that it takes a long time to get a Scion because they put all the accessorys you want on either at the factory or at port even though I know for a fact they do it at the dealership. He tried to tell me that's what they do in other states he's been to also. In his small little world there were also no RS3 xA's even though someone had already posted pics of their RS3 here on SL. Moral of the story: don't trust your salsmen because they most likely know less than you do.
kdepew 10-31-2006, 04:13 AM I 100% agree that they won't build a factory Scion with scissor doors.
However, they do put options on at the port. You can get additional options put on at the dealer when you buy the car, but if you tell them what you want before it comes into the port, all (or most) of the options are installed at the port.
They don't put any of the options (other than manual/auto and side impact airbags) on at the factory though.

Who said I trust 'em? :)

You can indeed get accessories put on at the factory or at port. It depends on how the dealer wants to operate. It makes a big difference if someone is planning to lease, because unless the added accessories/equipment comes on the car out of the factory, you can't residualise it.
iyzmi 10-31-2006, 09:25 PM He was trying to tell me they put them on in the port or factory IN JAPAN... So if you for example ordered cup holder LED's they'd put them on in Japan...no.

You can actually do that...it just takes forever. It is much quicker to get it done at port in the US, so I seriously doubt any dealer in the US does it as standard practice. They'd deliver about two Scions a year. :D
