Default To TINT or not to TINT......all around or front only

im gettin my windows done tomorrow and i cant decide if i want to put 25% tints in only the front windows, or have all of them done. what percentages and kind of tints does everybody have? If you do all your windows, how much lighter should the back windows be?

I think it looks best if they all match, I would either do the front to match factory of do them all.

I would go a little darker. 25% isn't that dark.. And definetly do all around.

I have 35% on mine and I like the match. It's slightly lighter. I would think that 25% would be a perfect match to the stock tint.

not to completely thread jack, but its along the same vein of the conversation.

since the rear half glass is darkened glass, how would you be able to match the front glass and rear glass? is that up to the person doing the work, or am i missing a part of the equation?

I just took mine to a reputable tint shop and told them I wanted the fronts to match the rest. I think they put 30% up front, which is as dark as the front can legally be in Texas. I'm pretty paranoid about going any darker, since I got popped for dark tint a few years ago.

you are not going to get your front ones to match the back probably. I just had my tint guy put 20% all the way around. That adds darkness to the factory tint to make it just about limo. Makes the front two windows look lighter than they really are, hence less of a chance of getting pulled over for it. 35% is the legal limit here in Texas. But its just too darn light.

If you tint your box, you gotta do the whole thing. It looks nice when its tinted.

I think I will have my tint guy add another layer to the back hatch window. I dont want people to be able to see an outline of me when they are behind me.

OH YEA! forgot to mention how much it helps with the heat! a huge difference!!! Thats another good reason to tint all the way around, the factory colored glass seems like it draws more heat inside!!! (i dunno, im just being scandleous *spelling?*) But after the tint job there was a drastic decrease of heat inside.

Anywayzzz hope this helps.

i just put 30% in front windows. it looks a hair darker than the rear but its a very close match. the inside looks way different since only the front have film, but exteriorly...close match.

A good testimony!

Even more reason to tint the whole thing. JMO

I just did my fronts with 35% (I believe, not sure) and it's pretty close to the rears. now I'm wishing I tinted all the windows a little darker.

20% up front, nothing on the rears. They match well.

You will surely get a ticket if a cop notices, and 5% is easy to spot as too dark. Hope you roll w/ your windows down all the time.
I wish I had the cajones to do that, but I dont want a ticket magnet either :D.

HAPPY TINTING!!!

wOw!
can you even see out of a 2 layered 5% window? Must be hard at nite.
I wish I could do that. I'm too scared tho'. I dont want to chance getting a ticket that would cost more than a tint job.
The darker the better right!?
