has anyone found stronger motor mounts
I has wondering if anyone has found stronger motor mounts for the xb. i have approx 1300 miles since the blower was installed and 1100 miles since i installed the wepon r engine dampiner. I have alreardy wasted the internal bushing in the dampiner and it pop just getting on and off the throttle. The motor jumps around way to much even when the dampiner was good. It makes the header and cat joint pop under hard accleration. Any help is appreiatied i love this xb not and would like to keep going with the mods but only if i can keep the motor ancored down.
I dont know that there is a big enough demand for stronger motor mounts, it would be nice if they made some. But it might be possible for you to do what the tC peeps are doing and fill your exsiting ones with eurathane to make them stronger. Just an idea, if you happen to find some aftermarket ones, please pass the info on.
I have the same problem under hard acceleration. The turbo actually swings back and hits the line behind it. Its really annoying. What I will do is fill the rear mount...possibly the sides also with urethane.

There aren't any complete motor mounts available for any Scion as of yet, but what you can do, is get some liquid urethane with a higher tenstile strength (about 80), apply that to around the rubber in the motor mount, and that will stiffen it up.
This is what many people do on cars in which urethane mounts aren't available.

here's a DIY on a CB7 (90-93 Accord), same process, just you have different mounts.

i have never seen a hockey puck crack and w/ all the hockey my dad, sister, and i have played and/or ref, we would have seen it
here are puck motor mounts...unless totyota uses a different way to mount an engine, this should do the trick

It will take you a few minutes and cost you $20 or less.
I would wait Ingalls engineering is in R&D with a Stiffy for the Xb. The reason your weapon r dampner wasnt working well is the place the bracket mounts is very thin steal and the dampner cant control the metal from bending. Ingalls is working on a solution for a SOLID mounting point. The Ingalls dampner will work. We have several TC's almost at the 250-300hp mark with little to no wheel hop. All these guys are using is The Stiffy engine dampner from Ingalls. PM Joe or Paul Dezod and ask what they think of the Stiffy from Ingalls!

I will do my best to keep everyone updated on the status of the dampner. I promise you will see results similar to the Tc if not better due to lower torque numbers and traction control aids that the Xb/Xa have
