View Full Version : how many of you bough the extended warranty? supitsmark 07-08-2004, 06:59 PM and if so, which one did you get? would you suggest this to others? rounder 07-10-2004, 09:46 PM I bought the extended warranty that covers 100,000mi./6years and the wheel/tire warranty. This way, if anything breaks, I don't have to pay a damn cent. If I get a single ding on my wheel, it's going in for warranty. I spent about $1k extra. JESSR 07-10-2004, 09:59 PM Same here. I wouldn't get it if you are going to do some xtreme modding. Airbag's, ect................. vickie 07-11-2004, 12:35 AM I think toyota extended warranties can be negotiated, try first before you spend a grand. rounder 07-11-2004, 05:25 AM It turned out to be a total of $1k because EVERYTHING is covered down to the wheels and tires. If I get a flat, I get a free tire. If there's a ding on the wheel, I get a new wheel. Any powertrain issues, I pay nothing to get it fixed for 100,000mi./6 years. chewd0g 07-11-2004, 08:19 AM I got the 7 year 100,000 warranty for about 500$ rounder 07-11-2004, 04:21 PM Prices might be separate for different models? Sciomodr 07-12-2004, 02:52 PM They differ based on the time/mileage and deductable (and possibly exclusions). The extended warranty on these is about half that as for a camry. Take that as you will. Mike Fujiz_xb 07-12-2004, 04:01 PM i got the 100,000 mile 7yr warranty for about 1k as well..its worth it.."better safe than suffering" JediYoda56 07-12-2004, 04:12 PM I got the 5/60,000 Nothing out of pocket for $600. To me it was actually $300 because they over quoted me on tax as I live in a different county. I thought it was a good deal for so cheap. Now if anything break with the 60,000 I am good to go with nothing out of pocket. To me nice cheap extra insurance. LV asirvr4 07-12-2004, 09:08 PM i got first 60000km/3 years free full warrnty after the 60000km finishes, i will get 6 years warrnty no kilo limits total 9 years - but the term is not to do any modifications that might affect on the car i know will not belive me   sTalking_Goat 07-15-2004, 10:02 PM total 9 years - but the term is not to do any modifications that might affect on the car But does it say what that is? I'm buying mine stock and doing, CAI, Exhaust, possibly Header. and eventually springs probably TRD but I'm not letting my dealing gouge me on the install. Can they actually say that you can't do any Mods. Or is it if they can prove the mod caused the failure then the warranty is kaputs. What about Non-Dealer Ex Warranties. This page http://www.carbuyingtips.com/warranty.htm?x=0tekxgl_eoyyqkz_ttky3&y=0x40x23x94 has a bunch of places online that sell ex warranties . Anyone go with that? Is it cheaper? Better? |
