Default Transmission sound when shifting hard at Redline...

does anyone notice a cracking/stress/grinding sound when shifting hard?

I know it's not the gears grinding.

Anyone know what this could be or have the same issue?

thanks,

- Dante

it somewhat is the gears grinding....the syncros are having a hard time matching the revs of the engine to transmission. Mine does it also in second gear exclusively.

I'm not 100% on this, but after reading about quite a few people with the same sounding issue, it seems like the synchro problem

do you have an engine damper or stiffer engine mounts? I know the drivetrain moves quite a bit. I notice a clunk whenever my shifting isn't the smoothest.

Thanks for the input......

I do have a torque damper, but the noise happens in every gear (i'm not sure about fifth because I never had to shift hard at 110

do you think new transmission fluid would solve/help this problem?.... maybe redline mt90?

Thanks again,

- Dante

i would honestly just recommend not driving ur car that hard or racing if you don't know what that sound would be. I'm not knocking ur knowledge of cars or anything, but a person who is more knowledgeable about cars should know what that is and i wouldn't recommend pushing it unless you can deal with it. Again, not tryin to be a jerk, just sayin
