CAI is a good place to start if you're looking for "performance" modifications. In my opinion the looks of the car really stand out from others so that's where I would want to start - make my xA stand out even more.

Go with the CAI, I prefer the K&N, I've heard other folks had trouble with other brands, then, tint the windows, upgrade the wheels and throw in some sound deadner.....
I am not a huge fan of a louder exhaust on a slushbox, that is why mine is still stock.

I would suggest a Short RAm intake... this is a topic thats debatable by many...but bottom line, the less pipe distance and bends the faster response. The ambient air was tested and was basicly the same temp in the bay as where the CAI was housed. That and unless you go JDM on your intake a heck of a lot cheaper then Cold air.

Let me be the first to say screw the intake and save your money for suspension upgrades. Will give you the most bang for the buck, for sure.

you can get some good springs and a short ram for the cost of a cold air. everyone wins!
