Default xB hauls 850lbs of office furniture.

I pushed my xB to the limits today hauling 850lbs worth of office furniture from my office to my home 40 miles away. Now how many subcompact cars do you know of that can do that. The weight of it lowered the back wheels about 2.5 inches, so anyone driving a lowered xb should not do this as it will probably rest the car on top of the tires. But its just a nice testament to what our little boxes can do. Pictures of my madness below.

Default Taxed!

Wow, you not only taxed the rear springs, but also those rear seats. I hope they came through okay. I agree though, if you are lowered DONT TRY THIS.

I'm moving home and have done several Ikea runs. I love pulling up to the loading dock, and watching people laugh at me with the flat pack furtniture I have stacked up.

The other weekend I had a 250lb, 7foot long sideboard (flattened the back seats and passenger seat and slid it right in), a 200lb kitchen island, a dining room table and 4 chairs and bags and bags of stuff. Oh, and 3 large mirrors for the new house, and a full length mirror too.

I even had a staff member ask me if I was sure it was going in. Oh yes, it all went in with space to spare! My wife sat in the back seat in the "40" split side and we were fine for the 70mile ride to the house!

Love love love the box for its versatility.

The only problem I had was the weight of the boxes broke the clips that hold the little plastic caps on top of the rear wheel arches inside the trunk space, but unless I put weight on them, you'd never know now

This was *after* I'd removed a bunch of boxes and bags.

My colleagues at work were shocked I was able to fit it all in my box. Before that they always thought it was a silly kinda quirky car, they never had a nice thing to say about it. But they all have a great respect for it now, after they saw what it could haul.
