Exhaust Leak
I have the alphawerks header and Megan S pipe, Greddy EVO2 axleback and as of now my OEM mid pipe is back on (Long story don't ask). Sounds nice but here's the problem:
I have a leak at the S pipe and Midpipe gasket. Now I tightened down, and actually I went too tight and cross threaded it
So i tapped it and put new threads, this time put a nut on the otherside and had at it. Thinking it would be better I started the car, climbed under it and to no avail. I still have the leak. I have tried loosening the header bolts to allow some wiggle room to get a slightly better seal at the S and Mid pipe but it still leaks. I'm about to take it to a local shop and just have them weld it because I'm tired of dealing with it, but I want that to be my last resort
Sooo....before I go and do that, I know a few others on here have had leaks at the same location so i was hoping to get some ideas.

do you hear air when you accelerate? i have the zpi s-pipe and i do have a leak right now, but i've grown past the fact that there is one. since heat expands metal, the leak is gone after the car is fully warmed up.. when i start up the car, i dont hear any sign of "air". there's a gap in between the s-pipe and the header because of the gasket, if only zpi made their s-pipe opening a little bigger to sit flush. bleh.
thats whats weird my header and s pipe connection have no leakes, however at the mid and s there is, i hear air when i accelerate but only in tunnelsor under bridges is it audible. When i first start the car is when I can hear a "whoosh" of air come out... bleh i'm just gonna go get it welded i think

i think mine is starting to sound like this....its like really raspy if you rev it when the car exhaust is cold(no header, just s-pipe, and megan with 2! resonators) but the rasp goes away as you drive around....
wondering if megan didnt align the pipe correctly...
