If there is someone in the seat and the engine is on it will start flashing, it seems to be pressure sensitive because if you put your hand and push down on the seat with the engine on it will start flashing. Me and my girlfriend had a good time figuring out how it worked LOL.

yeah basically what LoqT said, I've set it going with my messenger bag in the front seat. It's just pressure sensitive, as for disconnecting it, you may want to check the wire looms under the seat.. but it's a hack that may not be worth it depending if you want to do some rewiring down there

Atleast it's not like my mom's Lincoln. It rings every 2 minutes if the car is running and you don't have the belt on, so annoying.

take out the panel and unplug the light. I believe it is seperate from the other lights, so im pretty sure you can just unplug it from the back.

some cars.. LIKE my old honda cr-v.
will if u UNPLUG the sensor wire.. it CLOSES the circuit.
so like it'll never come on.. no "hack" is needed..
like once the plug is unplugged.. it'll assume that u dont want it on..
like if u got racing seats or what not. try unplugging the plug.
