Default Sytem Buld with 2 Alpine 12"s and 2 amps!!

Over the last 2 weeks I have been working on my system buildup. I have done all the wiring, cutting, fiberglass and paint on my own. First time doing all this.
The finish was taking forever and I am going out of town, so I just painted it as is. I will eventually rebondo and smooth the entire box and rack and spray it with my paint gun the same color as the car. Then I plan on adding trim around the amps and the box to make it all seamless. Give me some feedback!! I want to make this better.

Check out a thread in another forum for the full build up. I have tons of pics from start to finish. http://forums.scionzone.com/smf/index.php?topic=1931.15

LOOKS PRETTY GOOD.

i mean you already know that your going to have to finish it off again which is my oly critique other than it looks a little strange having your internal brace poke out like it does. If you cut it out, then apply a few layers of fiberglass over it then smooth it all out and blend it in with the rest of the box i think it will look even better

Thank you!!

Yeah it needs refinished, what I pain in the butt!!. As far as the internal brace, I did that with the nubs, becaise I am going to put a digital cap mounted to the nubs. Top and bottom should fit there perfect. But I might blend them in, not sure yet. I honestly didnt think they would be that noticable.

Ohh and to the people who do fiberglass daily, YOUR ALL CRAZY!! I was quoted $800 for this setup. I thought it was way to much....THEN I DID IT MYSELF. And see why its so expensive.

Thats a temporary paint job. The Azure Pearl with the base, and the clear coat, is going to run me about $50 for the paint. I havent had time to get this 100% smooth so I didnt want to put the azure pearl on it yet. So I went and get a dark spray to cover some of the imperfections for a few weeks until I have time to tear it apart, rebondo, sand and spray it.

haha, yep, i work with it almost daily. Its alot more work than most people realize. the more I work with it the faster i get, i can do a standard form fitting box in a matter of 2 hours now.

good idea with the caps, i hope it works out the way you envision it

Which alpine amps are you using. I'm looking at the v series ones like you have and wonder if they sound good and are worth the money.

They are the v series MRP M450s. They are great. Push 400 watts RMS at 2 ohms. The subs need 500 RMS but I think it sounds amazing.

cool. I was looking at using just one MRP M650 on 2 infinity kappa perfects 10s. You have just finalized my choice on the alpine amp.
