View Full Version : MISC ALL: BOXMAN IS A SCAMMER! BE WARNED toCa 09-08-2006, 09:07 PM I paid for a rear sway bar for my tc from him, and never got it, now he disappeared and never responds, and paypal would not reverse it for no reason. careful when buying from him, his name on here is BOXMAN mat18 09-08-2006, 10:15 PM boxman sucks!!! cherryBox 09-08-2006, 10:28 PM agreed 100%, but this belongs in retail experiences NOT ppc. brian 09-09-2006, 02:48 AM if anything, his communication just isn't that great. i bought some stock wheels off him a while ago and he wouldn't respond at all to any of my PMs or emails. i got them eventually, but not after a WHILE and they showed up randomly. also, he said he would throw in lug nuts for free as well as something "extra" but nothing ever came except for the wheels, which was fine but whatever. Simplyscion 09-09-2006, 05:32 PM i bought a set of steel braided brake lines and they came right away...he was actually a pleasure to deal with during my transaction. BOXMAN 09-09-2006, 05:38 PM agreed 100%, but this belongs in retail experiences NOT ppc. Cherry box you got your clubs and I never have even met you. So grow up. BOXMAN 09-09-2006, 05:39 PM boxman sucks!!! And I have dealt with you when? BOXMAN 09-09-2006, 05:41 PM if anything, his communication just isn't that great. i bought some stock wheels off him a while ago and he wouldn't respond at all to any of my PMs or emails. i got them eventually, but not after a WHILE and they showed up randomly. also, he said he would throw in lug nuts for free as well as something "extra" but nothing ever came except for the wheels, which was fine but whatever. Send me the address again Brian and I will send them out. I have no use for them. The lugs just didnt find there way in. I dont remember geting a Pm in reguards to them missing so I thought I promissed the lugs to the first guy who fell through. BOXMAN 09-09-2006, 05:43 PM I paid for a rear sway bar for my tc from him, and never got it, now he disappeared and never responds, and paypal would not reverse it for no reason. careful when buying from him, his name on here is BOXMAN Paypal is holding the funds and wont return them to me or ToCa. I have not avoided him I just have not been able to get any further on this. Due to ToCa saying his paypal account was hacked into and he never tried/wanted to buy a sway bar. Since that paypal has held the funds. I will not ship a part for free period. As you can see shipping was slow on one item but all items were in described condition. paul_dezod 09-09-2006, 07:29 PM To be honest, Boxman is straight up. Boxman works for a very well respected company in the industry and works lots of long hours for them. Give it time, I am sure he will make right with you. brian 09-09-2006, 09:36 PM if dezod backs him, he's a good man! BOXMAN 09-10-2006, 01:58 PM As we can all see toCa is unable to respond due to the fact that he is in the wrong on this one! chipzxb 09-11-2006, 02:22 AM Cherry box you got your clubs and I never have even met you. So grow up. Simmer down there buddy. cherryBox 09-11-2006, 04:45 PM agreed 100%, but this belongs in retail experiences NOT ppc. Cherry box you got your clubs and I never have even met you. So grow up. you're right. I should have been more clear. FLAKE and BACKSTABBER are more appropriate in my circumstance. yeah, the clubs were in fact dumped off at the shop, 80 miles from my house, a month after you told them that you'd bring them to the office...64 emails later. The deal you clearly spelled out was that my boss could review the clubs, and if he desired to complete the purchase he could paypal you at his leisure. Then you posted a thread on scionlife regional the NEXT DAY, calling me a deadbeat, which i thank you for subsequently deleting, but it's the thought that counts. You stated that you did this becasue you had no other way to contact me, despite the fact that I had given you my phone number on each and every one of the emails I had sent. I would be happy to make the entire email transaction available to anyone interested. Hopefully it will help others to think twice before doing business with BOXMAN. BOXMAN 09-11-2006, 04:53 PM Hey cherry. I think me having to drive to your boss so he can get a set of 300.00 plus clubs for 100 bucks is one hell of a deal. If you read the post it said I scammed this guy. How the hell do you see that I scammed you. In reguards to your post I was told I would be paid in two weeks. Two weeks from the time you picked up the clubs? I am not a golf club rental store. I sold the clubs if your boss liked them like he did. THEN PAY for them dont wait two weeks. Plus your boss never did pay me YOU had to. I told you if you didnt want to come get them then I would sell to someone else. You said you still wanted them and came to pick them up. And post the emails I dont care you got your parts and nothing was fishy about the deal. So go post your emails and make me look bad. I dont care. The point of this thread is Toca tried to get a part for FREE from me and that isnt going to happen NOW OR EVER! But keep flaming away about nothing Cherry. I have no problem posting about how much of a pain you and your boss were to deal with. Grow up and move on! HP_Pirate 09-11-2006, 05:37 PM all I can say is boxman must be busy. cause I have tried to buy several things from you, and even though I am local you said I would have first dibs. so I replied and nothing, you eventually sold them to someone else. I'm not doggin you or even wanting to get involved in this arguement, I just want to say that if you are selling the bar I will meet you in person cash in hand for it. 100 bucks. BOXMAN 09-11-2006, 05:51 PM I am very busy I work for a big supporter of Scion and the Scion aftermarket. I work 60 hours or so a week plus I have a g/f and a life I try to attend to everyonce and awhile. LOL! What I can do is sell the bar to you HP so everyone can see I have the bar and I am willing and easy to deal with. Not to many sellers will drive 50-70 miles to deliver a part when they arent making any money on the part in the first place. But since TOCA has to lie and bash my name/rep I will sell the bar to you HP then all can see I am ligit as is the part for sale. As for the Cherry box comments all I can say is there is a reason I dont go to local meets and HE IS THE ONE! cherryBox 09-11-2006, 06:10 PM Boxman, you have now moved on to telling baldfaced lies, in order to save face. I never said I agreed with the statement that you are a scammer. I was agreeing with the second comment. I will reinforce my positiion that anyone is welcome to see the actual email conversations between you and i, and the plethora of unfulfilled promises on your behalf. I won't comment any further. BOXMAN 09-11-2006, 06:19 PM Cherry I could care less make a post with my emails. All people will see if I was unable and not willing to stick with original arangements for the clubs. I offered you and your boss the option to not buy the clubs. You go a good deal and I did to since I didnt have to deal with you! BOXMAN 09-11-2006, 06:22 PM Also Cherry, I could care less what you or someone else thinks about me. People who KNOW me know what I stand for and know what type of a person I am thats why I could care less. And as far as this post goes I am out and will not care or respond to anything posted in this post! This is between me and the little kid that made this post. He knows he lied and thats why he has no parts or money. ALL HIS FAULT! playboyman007 09-11-2006, 08:44 PM Whoa I have been reading BOXMAN's and Toca's threads and comments. Imma play referee here. You guys are going back and forth about this and spamming SL. In honest truth I believe in "Customers are always right", if your going to do business with people. BOXMAN your just making yourself look bad around the people in SL and it already is ruinning your rep. Even I won't buy anything from you from all these comments you made. "Customers are always right" Simplyscion 09-11-2006, 09:04 PM "Customers are always right" I used to think that also until I started working in the car business...now I can completely disagree with that statement...things can get taken out of context and can get mis construded. As I have said before, I did business with Boxman and i would continue to in the future...he didnt give me any runaround or any bs story. He shipped the parts right away after payment and I received them soon after. BOXMAN 09-11-2006, 09:07 PM Vito, Paul and Brian are the only three that should speak about me seeing as they have direct experience with me. Cherry didnt buy anything from me. His boss did he was a middle man and a lousy one at that. And one more thing I wont be selling anything on SL anymore due to THIEFS like TOCA making BS claims. Ask around two people dislike my selling style in almost 18 months of being on SL... sounds to me like the 2 people need to grow up and look at themselfs for reasons the transaction didnt go smooth. I have never ripped anyone off and my PAYPAL account shows that. AcidBurnISU 09-12-2006, 02:49 AM No, the customer is not always right. The customer is always an _______. Whoever thought up the "the customer is always right" phrase should be drug out into the street and shot. Boxman, don't let these people get you down. Someone tried to screw you out of money and a part, and then called you out when they were wrong. You then came back and made him look like a complete and total ___, and he wont even respond now. Kudos to you for refuting the idiot, and standing your ground. Metro273 09-12-2006, 02:56 AM  WeDriveScions 09-12-2006, 02:59 AM ^ Wow.... lack of professionalism on the part of the customer AND the seller. Realistically, the customer just wants to be treated with respect and with attention and quick response to any issue. and Sellers always want a fair shot. I have no experience with either parties in this thread, but back and forth forum discussions from sellers and buyers shows the lack of professionalism on both parts. PM's are great ways to resolve issues, but openly critisizing either party here in this thread kills credibillity on both party's sides. Please, keep it focused on real issues and address them through PM, posting results fairly here... Name calling on either part just makes everyone look unprofessional. -WDS- Nakioki 09-12-2006, 03:06 AM customers are never right... I work for Chicane Sports Tuning and i know... sighh n e wayzz... I'll agree with boxman here. It's not easy dealing with other people you know.. I manage ebay stuff at our shop, things going out and things getting sold. I tell you there are people who are idiots in ebay. There are people out there that will try to rip you off... this is business were talking about here. Dont let them ruin it. playboyman007 09-12-2006, 03:14 AM "customers are never right", this quote is coming from a business transaction prospective. I know customers can be _______s, but you have to have that mentallity to become a good salesman. Who looks bad in this situation? BOXMAN of coarse. He is the one is trying to sell something, but with all these drama he just lost alot of trust from people in SL. Am I right? What does Toca have to lose? He is the buyer and alot people are willing to welcome buyers. Basically Im just saying that in business people need a "customers are right" attitude to get better business. -just my 2 cents BOXMAN 09-12-2006, 03:37 AM No, the customer is not always right. The customer is always an butthole. Whoever thought up the "the customer is always right" phrase should be drug out into the street and shot. Boxman, don't let these people get you down. Someone tried to screw you out of money and a part, and then called you out when they were wrong. You then came back and made him look like a complete and total butt, and he wont even respond now. Kudos to you for refuting the idiot, and standing your ground. WOW A SMART PERSON ON SCIONLIFE Simplyscion 09-12-2006, 03:37 AM hey, I have been selling scions for almost 3 years at the same dealership. I give every single person that walks through that door the same chance. I am as curteous and respectful and do everything to answer their questions knowledgeably and promptly without using an bs tactics. The problem is that there are good honest legit salesman out there and I happen to be one of them. Its very hard to not criticize or judge people especially that they come on with the mindset that you are out to screw them and they dont wanna believe a word you say. Theres always gonna be people that are wrong, wether its the buyer or seller. In this particular case I can sit here and put my money on Boxman and him being in the right. I mean come on, the original poster hasnt even come back on here and at least explain his situation. That right there should speak volumes in itself. WeDriveScions 09-12-2006, 03:46 AM In this particular case I can sit here and put my money on Boxman and him being in the right. I agree with that... but a wise person once said - "You can never be right at the top of your voice" , which somewhat applies... It's just to say that how you handle conflict says volumes about character and professional behavior... Even if the customer is totally wrong and hostile, your other potential customers see how you respond to that customer, and for me, name calling, counter attacks, and public matches do VERY little to inspire confidence in Boxman as someone I'd suggest doing business with. There is always an opportunity to prove differently... but even reading the above posts objectively is a sobering experience about customer service and professionalism in business. :( :( He's right, but wrong at the same time :( BOXMAN 09-12-2006, 02:05 PM I dont sell parts as a Job. This was me trying to help a fellow SL member and he tried to screw me. Now after 400 plus people looking at this and saying they wont buy from me... Thats ok I dont have anything to sell and I will now sell all of my items to local Sl memebers so I dont have to deal with this again. I work hard for the Scion aftermarket and dont need the stress of some punk kid whos scam didnt work. Sciond 09-16-2006, 01:27 PM here is my $.02 I have dealt with boxman personally. His communication was slow(probably busy) HOWEVER he did exactly what he promised. I would recomend buying from and I would do so again. BOXMAN 09-16-2006, 02:46 PM thanks HP_Pirate 09-24-2006, 04:11 AM ok heres the deal. So I screwed up, me I screwed up. I told you I would take the sway bar, pay cash, pick it up ect. well something happend and my finances suck right now. so feel free to hook someone else up since I screwed you, I sincerly appolagize for not responding sooner and making promises I cant withhold. If you still have it later and I have the money (for sure 100%, fail safe) I will hit you up. agian sorry for the inconviniance and good luck building your rep back. you always seemed like a good guy to me and I would buy from you anytime. agian sorry, I feel like sh@t for doing this to you with all thats going on right now. fherjohn 09-24-2006, 05:27 AM i really dont care what u guys are talking about coz all i hear is whining. oh well im really just trying to make 50posts so i can start my own threads. lol! oh yeah, dont ever do business with ronnyb. that dude is a thief. i thought he was my boy too!! he took my stock rims and never paid me. never answers his calls, emails or anything. greenbox 09-24-2006, 05:41 AM lock this dam thread already BOXMAN 09-24-2006, 02:54 PM Yeah no kidding its BS and you people not even involved keep bringing it to the tom of the forum.
