I was walking out to my car tonight and the way the streelight reflected against the rims made them look black or like a dark gray and they looked awesome contrasting with the flint mica. The car looked really agressive with the dark colored rims.

They just looked dark, must have been the shadows but it looked good.

 

i thought the tC had what was called

"Black Chrome"

i read it somewhere and in most ads i see of the tC, the side profile i see the blackness of the rims

 

I hear ya. I have a Flint Mica as well and the rims look gunmetal in certain lighting.

 

i thought it was called hyper black?? or scion calls it, graphite color. i ordered hyperblack wheels online. and the pictures of it looks nice. but when i received. it looks like chrome. and i do not like chrome wheels. the company said that in certain lighting conditions or certain angles. the wheels should look black. hence, hyper black. personally i didnt like the wheels at all, it was either sell it or give it to my sister. my sister has them now. and im running on some mighty 13 inch steelies on my civic :D

 

they're all the same... black chrome, hyperblack, etc... the IS had Graphite riims which are the same paint used for the tC rims... they do look nice though. just wish they had those SAME rims come in 18s.

 

Im powder coating my stock rims Black, if i dont like it they are going Gold....
