Painting your calipers
I'm thinking of painting mine so that it won't look ugly when rust starts to show, and so that brake dust will just come off with a squirt from a garden hose.
I know you need special paint for them, high temp, they sell them.
My question is that do you have to remove the calipers from the axle completely? Removing the brake hoses and crap like that? That seems like too much work. I know some people do a half as$ job and paint it while it's on the axle and overspray is everywhere.
I plan to paint them either red, black or silver. What do you guys think? I have a BBMica tC. I don't think I want blue calipers, looks kinda ___.

^^I used the same kit...
Summer Rims...

Winter Rims...

All you have to do is remove the wheels. The only time you would have to disconnect anything is if you use the caliper spray paint. Just be sure to clear coat your calipers after you paint them. That way they won't chip on you.
*SEARCH!!!* Here's the DIY I used on mine...

Who cares if it's for the xB. It still works for our car.

heh, nice "winter wheels"; I'd have no chance at all driving in the snow with tires like that.
The calipers are already covered by silver paint; wouldn't that hold off corrosion, or is it just for show?
