Default Comparison dyno's?

Ive only seen a few NA dyno's but i have yet to see someone do a baseline dyno and then add mods and do another dyno with the baseline overlayed.

I am asking this because supposedly if you get headers, s pipe and full exhaust you can net around 15fwhp. But that is peak hp, the tc has decent power down low and with increased airflow to the rear and less back pressure you would think there would be less power down low in the rpms.

So, are their any overlayed dyno's out there?

less back pressure doesnt mean less power down low... its just a misconception

O, i just always thought cars like mustangs and other v8's usually do a set up with more back pressure.

Au Contrair, V8 have enough flow characteristics. I have seen some with over 2.5" pipe diameter and making good power.

V8's can easily process at least 2x the amount of air and fuel per second as a 4-banger at the same RPM.

Therefore, way more gasses to remove.

No, there are very few before/after mod dynos because-

1) most people buy the car with one or two mods already (aem cai, or TRD exhaust)
2) 2 dynos cost $40 each, at minimum. That can be mod money! Save your dyno funds for tuning time.

I did 4 pulls for 10 bucks, best Saturday ever. All I needed was some beers.

Its hard to find a dyno for $40....but if you can get 2 dyno's at $40 each is not expensive at all.

1 dyno sesson, 3 pulls, no tuning, no wideband - $40 if you get a deal or some sort of special.

Some can pay upwards of $100/hour.

Then we need before and after.

You need to be in PR, good prices on the Dyno, everything else is plain overpriced. LOL
