Default I Love JL Audio!!

I was bored the other day and i had a small system consisting of a JL Audio 500/1 Slash series amp, and a 10" JL Audio 10W7 Subwoofer eclosed in a small box installed. The amp is mounted behind the back seat on the passenger side and the sub/box are "free roaming" (not bolted down for the dee dee dee's). Once i get a chance i'll post up some pics, but i've been working a lot of 16 hour shifts this past week (getting ready for my own eurpoean vacation) so once i have some free time, i'll post em!

This may seem pointless, but i just wanted to share my newest mod(s). I know i enjoy hearing/seeing others mods...it's more than a hobby, it's your personality!

the 500/1 is an _Amazing_ amp. I hope you didn't hook that up to the stock headunit ;)

I just got my baby back from the shop today and also went with the JL 500/1 amp only I wanted a little more oomph so I went with the 12". Thing is, I thought I got the 12w3v34 (pretty sure that's right) but I swear the little tag on the speaker says W7? I'll have to check the receipt... regardless, the sound is amazing and the custom box they made for me is one of my little dreams come true.

This has convinced me to pickup some JL Audio components to replace the factory mids/highs.. any suggestions on which I should go with?

hmmm, both are VERY VERY different! the w7 has a freaking huge excursion while the w3v3 looks similar to the w6 with a smaller excursion. what does it say on the sub???

As for components ive never had the pleasure of hearing the JL comps? But my CDT components kick some serious a$$!!! Super super crisp and clean! Powered with my JL 300/2 giving it some clean mid bass with a very nice and soft tweeter!!!! I never heard of CDT audio untill i got onto this site and people convinced me to get them!

Yeah, it doesn't have a large excursion... after looking at the JL Audio website, I'm 90% sure they are 12w3v3's. If I weren't at work right now, I'd go check. No graphics on the cone though and they do have the little badge W(something), just not sure which one it is.

CDT? Never heard of them either.. have a website or something for more info? Though I'd kinda like to stick with JL audio as a theme as long as the components sound as good as the sub.

I have the ZR comps in the front and the XR comps in the back. If you have the $$$ get the ZR but the XR are still nice.

Thanks for the advice Townreb, I'll check them out as soon as I can. Oh, and Yanki, I checked the box I was given last night and it is the 12w3v3.

I LOVE my system. Hadn't given JL Audio much thought before it was recommended but now I'm very impressed.
