Open Source Scion?
It'd be very nice if Scion can open up their design "source", like PDF files of all detailed parts and spec of their cars (especially, the new tC since i drive one). I think it'd make us appreciate it more and maybe come up with cool ideas and feedback.
Yeah, I was hoping for something like that, or perhaps a Haynes manual. Haynes doens't even have Scion listed... http://www.haynes.com/na1.html
.
.....it's not software.....
you have the car already... it's not like a windows xp that's you don't what's going on under the hood, all the stuffs are there, you can see if and measure it, if you don't know what's it for, can take it apart and find out what's that. can't do it with software. so...what's the point of open source? i mean, since you can mod your car any way you want to....i don't think you need the "source code" for the car.
if you are talking about ECU source code, that's another story.

my dealer told me this past weekend that the ECU source code was being released in full... I'm not sure the truth to this, but he hasn't been wrong yet...
well, that is if you don't count the expected delivery dates...
