Default Monstermotorworks stage 1 xb kit?

Who has bought this? Is it worth 525 plus shipping? I am interested in it getting this. I have done a search but have not come up with any info. Thanks.

I have found one or the other. I am looking for info specifically about the stage one kit as one product. I have read good things about the header and intake. I am wondering if it lives up to the claims made or should I buy a dc sports header and a CAI or SRI. I don't want to assume since one person has the intake and likes it and another person has the header and likes it that I will like the combo, I want to hear (or read in this instance) that it is worth the money. My mod money is pretty tight and I don't want to regret buying something.

The only way I would do it is if you were dead set on having the MMW 4-2-1 header. Otherwise I think there are better cheaper options out there.

Unfortunately MMW is the only half way decent option out there in the way of a 4-2-1 header.

If you just want an intake and header, give this a shot.

DC Sports Header
Fujita F5 Short Ram

$391.30 shipped from PTuning.com after your Scionlife discount. That extra $135+/- goes a long way toward an exhaust, or all the way to getting yourself a lightened pulley.

And you can save even more by getting a Megan Racing header. Most of the people that have tried it have been very happy with it for a 4-1 header.

*RT* you say that they are the only half way decent company offering the 4-2-1 header, who or does anyone offer a good one?

I wouldn't waste someone else's money on an OBX Header. I'd rather spend the $110-$150 on a Megan header over an OBX.

Monster Motor Works is just a name that Weapon R wears to sell products to owners of the Scion brand. Weapon R has a questionable product history at best. I have heard decent things about their 4-2-1 header, but haven't seen it myself. And I am far from willing to swallow their performance gain numbers hook, line and sinker.

And for the price, I just don't think one of their products is worth the investment. Not until I see it for myself, and see empirical, independent evidence that shows that they really do outperform other companies headers.

What we really need is a company willing to do a truly independent header shoot out. One that includes criteria such as build quality, fit and finish, looks and performance gains. I'd love to see a shop step up to take on such a shoot out. Then we'll see which manufacturers are willing to step up and provide their product for such an event.

I know I would be willing to provide a test vehicle, even if I didn't get anything out of it.

I think that is the way I am going to go. I plan on getting the axleback from precision muffler and you are right the money saved will go a long way. Thanks to everybody for the info. I am a little short on xB aftermarket knowledge. My last car was a Lancer Ralliart and really I only delt with one company for aftermarket parts. You really didn't have to ask peoples opinions because the quality from this company was A+.
