Default More boost for the midrange... TRD S/C

If I were to get a 12psi pully, and use a lower spring in my Forge 007, would It only boost to 9-10 psi at redline?

I was wondering this because in theory it should give a nice "boost" of boost in the lower rpm's. So instead of seeing 3psi at 3500 and 9psi at 6200, it would be more like 5psi at 3500 and 9-10psi at 6200.

Does this make sense?

Anyone think it will work?

I just might have to try it.

Possible, but I wouldn't risk something like that without Wideband o2 monitoring. The TRD AF map is awful, and you could do a lot of damage if you accidentally apply a full 12lb of boost with it. You'd instantly go lean and start cracking your piston lands.

Oh, here's some more food for thought.

With a Gates 7PK2234 belt (VERY snug) and a 12lb pulley, I only see 10lb of boost max making 296WHP@5000ish rpm.

At that point, i'm out of fuel and leaning out. And this is with Greddy Emanage Ultimate on the stock 410cc injectors, with Water/Meth helping out with detonation.

If you do indeed make that much boost (10lb), you might be in the same situation, only you won't have a corrected fuel map to deal with it.

Be careful.

Not worth it to me but a good thought. I'd do the cams if I were to stick with the S/C. You get about 20-25whp with the 2psi upgreade from the stock 7psi pulley. You're bound to get that with a set of Rippmods cams, maybe more.
