Default Does anyone know how to instal hood pins for CF hood?

hey just trying to instal my hood pins and i need a little help... im going on a road trip and i dont want my CF hood to swing up....

J.T. do you have some pics of the hood installed and maybe a pic of the hood rasied about an inch up.. Usually you would attach the pins into the frame where the radiator is.

ill send pix, but i was gonna do some ghetto sh*t i was gonna put the hood pins in then put some chewed gum on the tips of the pins and then put the hood down on them and when i lift up the hood and the gum will be stuck on the hood and then just work from there

Haha.. thats a crude method.. but im sure it would work... I have used methods like that before.. yes make sure you measure and check about a million times, before you drill.. You can never be to safe.

hey lolso im sitting here at work and i couldn't take it anymore so i walked over to the closest advanced auto parts store and bought hood pins then i walked accross the street to this import tuner store and they were closed so i turn around and i see this kid in a tC and he asked me if it was closed i said yes so then i asked if he can give me a lift to my job i told him hey i drive a scion too showed him my keys and he took me to my car and told me where i can get the hoodpins installed so he told me a place close by i told my boss that i was gonna be back went to the shop and $75 later i have my hood pins installed ill show u pix later

Alright hey atleast it is done and your hood didnt get messed up.. Glad to hear it is done.

I tried to install my hood pins on my civic and messed up the hood bad! but it was only a oem hood, so it was a learning experince for me.

yeah man that guy was useing a rivett gun and all this crap im glad that i didnt do it. pins look and work great
