I want to get the IVA-W200, but since the end of the year is coming up I figured I'd wait until the new ones come out. Will they be out in January?

That makes sense, I just saw they had a 2006 catalog on their site so figured they might have 2007 soon. Does it support navigation? What about Bluetooth, do I need an adapter for it?

you need to buy the cd for the navi, and i think it has bluetooth, im sure you have to buy something seperate for that also? I dont have it but a buddy has it in his civic. He loves it and says its really awsome! Ive seen it and it looks better than the pioneer d1?

Most car audio goes through a model change in late feb early march. even Alipne with deck at least. The amps usually take a little longer.

i hope they have a new one in 2007 before tax returns. i like the pulse touch feature. i was playing with one in my friends car and the touch screen feels so much like real buttons

yeah it supporst the navi but that is like 1700. it was suppose to support the blackbird adapter too but i dont know if that ever came out. bluetooth you would have to buy the adapter. pretty much the w200 is just a screen/dvd player and you can add everything else including the usb adapter. ai-net FTW

damn 1700 for nav, that's crazy...not a big deal though, I think without any addons it's fine for me

How much is it to get a rearview camera? That'd be kinda handy here since I parallel a few times every day.

1700 is MSRP they have on the site so give or take a few hundred if u buy it from a local shop.

the blackbird + dock should be less than 1000 if they ever release the dock. i would go with this option for navi that way i can atleast take the black bird with me on a road trip in a friend's car

You will not see Alpine 07 line show up in stores until Mar. or Apr. at the earliest... This is when most new lines and model change outs happen for Car Stereo companies.

the W200 or the navigation? I've seen the W200 hover around 800-900 online.

from what my alpine rep told me... the W200 is going unchanged .... it has barely been out for a year and only the deck line up is changing... all the mobile video is staying the same... to support the navi you can either get the disk drive navi which in most cases is in the 1000 to 1500 dollar range or when the blackbird dock comes out after the first of the year... or so i have heard...

for bluetooth there is an adaptor that goes for the 200 dollar ballpark... everything is connected thru the famous AI-net cabling... except the ipod with its high speed cable...

I'd be happy if they brought out a good-looking deck that supports DVD MP3, that's really what I want. Basically like the DVA-9966, but a lot cheaper since it costs more than the IWA, which doesn't make much sense to me. The other DVD decks are ugly. If nothing will be updated until March I'll just use my old 9815 for now and wait to see what happens.

According to SRAudio's rep, the Blackbird dock is already shipping in very limited quantities to those who backordered it (still waiting for mine).

The reason teh DVA-9965 is more is it also adds the HD-Radio tuner built in and it digitises everything. Most Alpines put everything except CD and DVD out through the analog AI Net, the DVA-9965 will send everything out the Optical port if you are using the PXA-H701 processor. The HD tuner is $300 and I am sure the ADC ads some to the cost. If they made this unit with the new full speed iPod control and without glide touch I would buy another one in an instant. I had one installed in my last car for a little while
