I am running TRD with mine and those shocks suck!!! What a waste of money. Then I thought about coil overs but too expensive and not enough drop for my liking. So now I am looking at maybe some adjustable shocks. What will make for a super comfy ride but still be good enough to handle weight in the back and hard cornering?

How about Koni or Tokico? Are these adjustable shocks even worth it? The price for a set of either of these is like 560.00

I wish I would have done more research before wasting my money on the TRD crap.

There are a lot of people running the Koni with good results. On the softest of the 4 settings they supposedly ride quite well. But when you crank up the dampening, they really change the handling characteristics of the car.

I don't think anyone on this site has really messed with the Tokicos. If I am not mistaken they do offer more levels of adjustment than the Konis. I don't know where that adjustment falls compared to the Konis though. It could very well be that even the softest Tokico setting is stiffer than the stock dampening. Until someone buys them and tries them, we won't know for sure.

Save the money for other stuff and get the Monroes all the way around.

What is the part number for the Monroe front struts? Are they shorter than the stock struts? I have the Monroe shocks in the rear and i know that they're overall shorter than the stock shocks which is good since the car is lowered.

no im rinnin the stock struts
from what i heard the monroe struts for the echo actually drop your front an additional 1/2 inch
dont take my word for it though
