In 2 weeks I am headed out to Iraq. My car will be sitting for 8 months. My wife doesnt drive a stick and will probably be staying with my parents till next summer.
Is it ok to let the car sit in my garage without being touched? Will I need to do anything special?
Or should I give someone a key and have it driven periodically?
I would hate to come home to a problem and have to deal with it.
Thanks to anyone that can help.

YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR WIFE AT LEAST TURN IT ON EVEN IF SHE DOESNT DRIVE IT. IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE TRUST WORTHY THEN LET THEM TAKE IT OUT EVERY MONTH. IM DOING THAT FOR AN INLAW THATS IN IRAQ ALSO, EXCEPT ITS A CORVETTE WITH A WHOLE LOT MORE POWER THEN MY TC.

This is what I figure. But my wife will be living in PA while I am gone.
I know its an old theory to start your car. But its kind of one of those things that is reccomended because its been assumed to need to be done. I just have never seen anyone that had real reasoning to back up the reasoning.
Thanks for the input. (oh and take that corvette for a spin)
