Default Question for those who has the OBX Sports pedals

just received my obx sports pedals... the clutch and brake pedals looks good. but the accceleration pedal seems to be missing some wrap around rubber.. just wondering if anybody elses are the same. Also did the pedals come kinda worned, not totally stainless steel shiny surface? with scratches and some rubberish around? the wrap around looks like this..

Well unfortunately they are made by OBX, and OBX makes pretty much the same crappy quality stuff as APC or Pacesetter does.

im going aftermarket.

All the dealer accessories are overpriced, but the pedals and mats are the worst.

I hate it when people don't answer the question but rather bash whatever brand your question is about. I have the OBX sports pedals and they came "shiny and all" with no rubberish. But I haven't taken a real close look at them. I will today and report back.

But since you do not like and this is an inexpensive item, I would take back to dealer and have them replace it.

Yes, mine were like that as well, it's to accommodate the rod for the gas pedal. I've had mine a couple of weeks now and they are pretty nice they don't slip or move around like I thought they would. OBX might not be that great but for $30.00 and good looks you can't go wrong. IMO

When the OBX pedals say they have a brushed-aluminum finish does that actually mean the pedals are made of aluminum? I saw some at the scion dealership and they looked like crappy painted plastic.. wtf?

These look pretty good: http://www.act-labs.com/scripts/proddetails.asp?Pid=374
And I think they are real aluminum too.

Sorry, I don't know much abouthe OBX pedals except that they look great in pictures but seem to be crap upon close inspection.

They are aluminum...

Just remember when you buy aftermarket pedal covers you'll need to drill holes in your actual pedal to mount them. At least on most of the higher quality pedal covers. I'm not sure about the Momo ones you mentioned above. They do look better but a lot more work to install them.

Has anyone tried to git Celica/MR2 pedals? They look far better than the OBX ones.

I have to agree about OBX, they make low quality parts.
