does the bcp=purple?
ive been lurking on this site for a couple a months now and ive finally decided to go for the tc. unfortunately in my area none of the dealers have a bcp which is my first color choice. my problem is that i dont want to order a color i havent yet seen and in pictures the bcp sometimes looks purple
but at scion.com bcp looks burgandy :D . my second choice is black but even though i love black cars i dont really want another one. so could anyone who has actually seen the bcp tell me if it is purplish or burgandy? this is my only problem with the tc...the color variety sucks.
Both our Scions are BCP and the color you see actually depends on the lighting thanks to the "pearl".
To be honest, most of the time, it looks purple. And my neighbors always say "I like your purple cars"....especially under the flourescent gas station lights.
In the morning and evening sun, it looks burgandy.
The kewl thing about this color though, is its ability to look like several colors at the same time. On the curves, it appears almost black but the closest points to you are purple/burgandy....or maybe I'm on crack or something......

I think this is a fairly accurate shot of the color. It usually looks like a deep red-purple, and looks even darker at night. Sometimes pictures make it look burgundy, which it really isn't.

Here's shot of GeminiTwin's car which is really nice, although it's almost too purple.

Hey tc4tee,
As a proud owner of a BCP tC (pic above), I do agree that the color changes significantly depending on the amount/source of light. Overall, I would describe it as burgundy but it does look purple-ish (not purple, but purple-ish :-) sometimes). I hadn't seen the BCP on a tC before I ordered my car, but once I saw it I knew it was the right color for me. But, I do love dark reds and purples, so go figure. How about checking out an xB or xA in BCP? It's the same color although it does look a little different because of the drastic difference in shape of the car. Hope this helps! -Jayme

Thanks! I am really really happy with my tC. It's a month today since I got her!! I got the TRD springs installed on Weds and it looks a lot better. -Jayme
Didn't realize you had the TRD springs....I am thinking about it, not sure though.....it sucks having TOO low of a car with Michigan winters. Although, I'm coming from a Camaro, so that was pretty darn low.
