What is the difference between a Cold Air Intake, and a Short Ram Air Intake? Is there a difference between the hp you get with each?

SRI usually place the filter a foot or so away from the engine and have a straighter pipe. The CAI pull air near the fender wells, and the tubing is more twisty. People in places like the upper northwest generally go with the SRI cause a CAI can pull water in the engine when it rains. BTW do a search cause this topic has been covered many times.
