Default Supercharger for everyday driver?

i have no need to have a top performance xB, but i may have a weight problem. i'm adding ALOT of weight to the vehicle with the audio system that i'm installing and replacing the front hood and rear door with carbon fiber wont be enough. my guess, it'll be about 600lbs of added weight to the curb weight between the batteries, cables, woofers, amps... basicly everything all togethere.

what i'd like to know is what would be a good supercharger? something with 20-30+hp and meant for a manual between the 04-06 models.

Also, how much of a diffrence on the milage would i expect after installing the supercharger?

my reason for a supercharger is because of the zero spool lag time. all i THINK i'll need the supercharger as everyone knows the xB has about 100hp. with people in the xB AND the equipment, i think it will begin to bog down.

advice?!

you wont notice much of a bog....to be honest i had my xB LOADED DOWN with alot of steel going to idaho for a show...by loaded down i mean it dropped me a good inch and half lower...and i was still speeding past the automatic xBs in the hills.

I don't know about the s/c, but I drive everyday with close to 1100lbs of equiptment including myself in the Xb... the only thing I noticed was having to put in lowering springs since the compression on the stock ones made the back end almost touch the tires. After installing the drop springs I did have to chop the front ones 2 extra coils to get the ride to sit even. Also adding the strut tower and under sway bars made a world of differance even for changing lines. hope this helps...

this does help alot, thanks!

i will be installing the TIEN SS-P coilover kit to help get rid of that bottum out problem. front and rear sway bars, front strut bar. the only problem is, the only rear strut bar that i've been able to find is the that Scion supplies on thier webpage.

i was just a little worried about the amount of weight that i was adding to it so... but thatnks alot!

ok, heres a standard question for you. parts wise, just for basic care to repair, how is the prices for say old parts. say if the head gasket goes and you need a replacement or if the valves need replacing. you know, small stuff that you would need to do after a long time use.

are the prices for replacement parts reasonable? or is it, in lack of a better explaination, another Saturn? *Saturn vehicles are made by multiple manufacturars and are VERY expencive and normaly require WAAAYYYY to much work to fix anything*.

i had a look at the xB's engine compartment and it looks rather easy to work on, not too many pieces to the whole thing at all.

If you did change your mind and decide to get a supercharger, I'd recomend a Blitz. Unlike other superchargers, this one has an off, low, medium, high option. Off meaning... completely off, low meaning... 25% on the pedal, medium meaning 50% on the pedal, and high meaning floored. Depending on whatever else you add to increase your scions performance, it will give 25-45 HP. I have one on my scion xb, along with 4-1 headers, cat back exhaust, cold air intake, and a few other things

Anyway, Blitz is great, look into it if you ever decide to get a supercharger for your scion xb.

While I think all of the supercharger kits out for the xB, you also have to consider price. Power Enterprises and Blitz kits run upwards of $3000. The Greddy kit will run you around $2400-$2500. Not saying that the Greddy is a no-brainer. But you need to make an educated decision for yourself to determing if the extra $600 is worth the differences you will see in a PE or Blitz supercharger kit.
