I made the same problem as u TSXB. If you look at your stock tialight harness, you'll see that the amber bulbs are still inside of them. They are the middle set of bulbs. That means, u should have 3 sets of plugs u pulled out. 2 circular and 1 square-style.

White blinkers (at least in CA) are illegal and probably are illegal in other states too unless they are reverse.

You till need to tightten the bolts in the back some more...

what kinda tail lights did u get?

I believe people use the weather stripping from the OEM tails to assist w/ the gaps w/ non-OEM tails.

BTW - I got these:

They look pretty sick on a RS2

PS - How bad does it leak when it rains? I think it's going to rain tomorrow so I need to fix that asap.

cool choice of lights.. i opted the the red clear ones because they look better on a blue onyx pearl. anyways, it shouldn't be too bad. i wouldn't loose sleep over them for sure

i just tightened them to the point of no return. i think i actually may have messed up the bolt a little (pliars can get that off, right?)

it did tighten drastically more...but there is still a small gap. is that normal? do you have pix with yours on?

no worries TSXB.. I ran to Kragen (an parts store) asking for the amber version of the bulb and they looked at me like I was nuts.. I went back home and decided to take out the other half of the stock taillight and I magically pulled out the amber bulb!! WTF, I looked back at my other stock housing and there it was.. right under my nose!

Anyways, about the gap, I took some pictures of it. It's prblaby like a 2mm gap, but it's very minor. It rained last night, but there is no evidence of water entering the taillight housing.

nice! and about the rain....did u see some gather towards the top of the light, but not actually enter the housing? kinda up where the light meets ur BOP color. it's kinda reflective...

in the pic, it looks like there is some. thats what mine did too, so i'm just making sure it's not only me lol
