What games did you get?

I ended up getting Red Steel and had Zelda pre-ordered. Surprisingly enough, I haven't touched Wii Sports yet. Zelda is way too good for me to put down. I had to force myself to try out Red Steel which also kicks serious ___.

Picking mine up tonight ... I had the money all pre-allocated to get a PS3, but in the end, I wanted a Party console and that's exactly what Nintendo has been focusing on, so my money went with the Wiiiiiiiiiiiii..... heh

I didnt get any games with my Wii but the other three people I got them with had all the good games so Ive had a chance to play them. Red Steel is awesome!!! An entire new dimension to the FPS genre. Excite truck is a blast. Ultimate Alliance is ok. Not my style really. I'll have NFS Carbon tomorrow to try out. Im assuming I'll love it...

Did anyone happen to buy one of the steering wheels? I was hesitant to get Excite truck, but I think I may just throw that on the X-mas crap for the folks. I really would love to have the steering wheel adapter(gamestop.com has it if you haven't seen it) to play racing games with. I dunno, maybe one of my friends will pick up NFS or ET and I can check it out.

SWEET! I was looking for the steering wheel seperate and didnt know it existed. Apparantly they arent shipping until this week. I knew if you bought one of the two Ubisoft racing games available it was included but both games look like crap. This is awesome!!! Thanks...

He will probably pick up a Wii once you move. Kudos to Nintendo. The Wii may not have the bells and whistles of the 360 and PS3, but it has that lure to bring in new gamers to the industry.

EDIT: At the end of the first day I had it (Sunday), I bowled a 230, about 100 points away from turning Pro, and my arms STILL hurt. hahah

I hadn't gone online with the Mii feature yet, but I checked out the shop. I was pretty pumped that Solomon's Key and Altered Beast were up on the download section on release day.

Man, i cant wait for them to put up some more SNES games. I know i'll b dl'ing super mario brothers, and if they put final fantasy VI on there, that'd b nice. Although i do have an original copy on my snes, but i'd like to play it on the wii, lol.

Well here is the thing, I think all gamers with "Controller Wave Syndrome" should get a Wii. CWS is the act of playing a game where moving the controller(or your entire body) will not help you in any way, but you don't care and do it no matter what. If you have found yourself trying to physically look around corners before your in-game character can possibly do so, you suffer from CWS.

I know for a fact that I enjoy my Wii for this reason alone. The fact that me twitching my hands and moving them around has an effect on the game makes me happy. The games being fun as hell are just an added bonus.

i only bought cause i didnt get a ps3 and i bought 9Wii's and tried to sell but didnt make any profit. i kept one and im glad i did. but i also knew nothing about the wii so thats why i was shocked as to why the graphics didnt change much.
but well worth the money.

Wii is just the most amazing thing! I have Excite Truck, Zelda, Red Steel, and Rayman, and, of course, Wii Sports. But what really matters is this: Every person who has any contact with it has fallen in love with it! I think Nintendo made the right move by focusing on making a system that would be innovative, useful, and most of all FUN TO PLAY for EVERYONE instead of trying to play the "graphics" game. Well done!

i was thinkin bout buying a wii jus to put in my tC.

since the games are based on ur movemet with the controller, would it be hard to play games inside ur car? like if u were sitting in the front or back seat.

ex. would that effect the way u bowl in the bowling game?

I picked up one for the kids Christmas Sunday. So I had to try it out to make sure it worked!

The first thing I thought when I unwrapped it was, "hey this thing just might fit in the 'oven' in the XB." But after playing it (for hours!) I realize that there's too much movement involved for a car game system. It is a blast to play.

I picked up Rayman today. Maybe I'd better try it to make sure it works, for the kids. :P

lol sounds like the wii will be more of a family Christmas gift!

Rayman is great! You should make sure it works :P only prob with it is that you have to play at least a day (in the game) in order to unlock multiplayer, so that could be something you do so that your kids can play together on day one. Other prob is that most games aren't played simultaneously, but rather by taking turns. Still great fun thought. I still haven't been able to beat that draw food mini game on day one! dang it!

My 8 year old Nephew's Wii accomplishments this weekend.

- Unlocked Rayman up to day 4

- Got a score of 760 on Wii Boxing

- 500 on Tennis

and Promptly Kicked my sorry old butt up and down the field on Madden 2007 - 2 on 2 mode.

(Granted, I was using last season's sucky 49'ers, but regardless!)

Though he still can't touch me on the full-team version of Madden .... (take THAT, ya lil betch, LOL)

I bought Splinter Cell and I think its pretty good havn't played the 360 version because i don't like the xbox but anyway the game is very entertaining at least for me.

Red Steel is crap. My buddy brought it over and the controls are kinda bad. Delayed and non-responsive sword play. Multiplayer is kinda fun though...

I own Red Steel (badass game..controls do TAKE TIME to get used to though, so your first reaction will be like WTF? lol ), Zelda (waiting on getting Wii component cables for my HDTV so its crystal clear), Excite Truck(pretty fun game, you can get HELLA AIR, reminds me of SF Rush in a way). Everyone owns Wii Sports, sooo its so much fun, its crazy addicting.

i guess it comes down to a matter of preference. But, over all the game really failed in the control department. But, if you're the one guy that got the hang of it, kudos!

The Wii is retardedly fun. I had the privelage of playing it 2 weeks before release.

Super Smash Brothers BRAWL doesnt appeal to me that much. I never liked the old ones on Gamecube. When they launch MarioKart Wii I'll get excited...

I've been playing Zelda the last few days (First real time i played a Zelda) and it's wonderful.

SSBB should be great! Solid Snake! What i'm really waiting on is them to release original Smash Bros on virtual console. I hope virtual console ends up being huge, cuz there are too many games long lost in my past that i want to acquire with the click of a button.

Not really HD, but lets you display it at 480progressive which looks wayyyy better on HDTVs.... HDTVs usually suck at displaying standard 480interlaced signals.

Last night my Scion crew met at one of our members house who happens to have a sweet garage. He also has a ping-pong table in the garage. While the rest of the crew was wrenching on an xB my buddy and I were playing some ping pong. I love the game myself and was in fact on the travel team in college. All of a sudden my buddy's little nephew came out and wanted to play. My buddy gave him his paddle so he could play me. This kid might have been 8 or 9. He proceeds to play like an idiot and ____ me off in about 5 seconds. I retaliated by slamming it as hard as I could back at his face 3 times in a row. He started crying and I started laughing. Yup, thats how I roll. Kids suck!!!

alright you little wii noobs! lol I just got a butt load of mail with little mii faces on the corner! Unless Im the noob that isn't sending me your miis. In order to send a mii you must do the following:

On the mii channel click on the envelope icon (should be the last one on the right)

grab a mii and put it in the icon of the envelope with the little blank circle on it (should be on top of your mii channel after clicking the first envelope)

from there you should know what to do.

my Wii made a disco in my living room cause of all the mail I was getting :rofl:

it is harder to make female miis. there just isnt enough there for them. The facial structures can pass for guys but only fat chicks really have heads like that!

why didn't i think of creating Bruce Lee! I haven't seen him yet so ill check that out later (gotta watch the wording about these wiis, I almost said gotta check him out! lol)

as for changing the pants. (I assume that is what you are talking about) you can only make them red i think, and you do that by making them favorite. I could be wrong, but I think red is the only other color, though I seem to recall black pants somewhere.

u cant change the pants color...it will be blue if a friend sent u the Mii, red if its ur favorite, and black is neutral. gonna check out the bruce lee! lol

I just heard about a mass recall on the Wii remote straps. It was a quick flash on CNN so I didn't hear any details about replacements or whatever they are going to do.

they are shipping their newer systems with a thicker strap, as well as the wiimotes
