From what I have read about the drop of TRD springs on the Tc, I have been told 1 in the back and 3/4 of an inch in the front.

is tat a 1.25 measured on new TRD springs? cuz TRD said roughly 1 inch all the way around. 1.25?! r does springs worn down!? i dunno

i prefer not to get TRD cuz i believe they are overrated. no offense to anyone of cours.

do you have any more pics? please post some more or point me to where i can find more pics. i've been waiting forever to see a tC with the ground effects kit and TRD springs with bigger wheels.

i was thinking about having the same setup. one questions though, do the shocks lower the tC slighty? if so, by how much?

thanks!

This is our Demonstrator unit we are keeping here at the dealership for people to try out. We did all of the work here. The thing drives like a dream. The TRD suspension is great. Under normal driving conditions, you can hardly tell anything has been done (except larger bumps). It handles great when you get on it. I went with a larger tire so the wheel wells were fuller and the ride was a bit more plush. I didn't want anyone scared away by the ride of 225/35/18's so I stepped up to the 235/40/18. I have no more pics at this time. Next step....blower... Apologies for anyone having to cope with the image size.

Those tires look really tight (uh, and I'm not using slang here) in the rear. And after I noticed that I looked at the fronts and they look tight too. I won't believe you if you tell me they don't rub, even if only at full steering lock.

If I go over a speed bump too fast they rub just a little in the rear....no tire damage though. Other than that....no rub at all in the front...even at full lock

shocks dont lower the car. the shocks only absorb the bumps.

I think it goes a bit further than that.... The TRD shocks (struts) are designed to work with the spring rate of the TRD springs. Also the lowering springs change the geometry of the suspension and the position range the shocks operate. The springs absorb the bumps, the shocks controll the springs...keeps the suspension from bouncing and keeps the car on the road. I believe a sign of worn struts is the car will raise a bit. The TRD shocks do not actually lower the car though. Anyone with more complete or accurate info...please chime in...I am up for schoolin any day.

thats pretty close. but worn struts will not raise the car. Struts have no lift. Worn struts will just let the car keep bouncing if you hit a bump. boing, boing, boing.... like a pogo stick
