Default Ebay Scam

I am so ____ed....I shopped on ebay for my Tanabe DF210'S. Did some research, found an ebay store named liquid_wholesale. Checked the sellers feed back and out of 300 transactions over a 18 month period he had one negative and it was just for slow shipping. Everything added up, so I purchased a set..... Paid 160.00 delivered.....that was on 11-08. Since then the guys ebay store has closed, his profile has been canceled. I am sweating it now trying to work with PAYPAL to get my money back.......DAMN!! Did I mention I am ____ed?

I purchased a sweet set of rims and tires through an outfit in Florida called EdgeRacing.com....great guy named Raul took care of me. Got a super deal...I would highly recomend these guys for any of you looking for rims and tires.....Now my new shoes are just setting in the garage. My springs should have already been here.
I don't want to put the new rims and tires on until I lower my Xa......have to wait and see what happens..... Just lookin for some support from my peeps I guess.

Sounds like possibly someone broke into his eBay account and that is why it closed? Seems like PayPal should get you something back!

i've gotten a refund on paypal before... i believe they'll be able to refund your money no problem. Just follow their guidelines and you'll get your money back.

btw, i live in fl, and im looking for rims/tires... i just might call raul up!

Dude I dunno about Ebay lately... I was looking for some salvaged stuff for a little project I was working on. People post it for 99 cents and 40 dollars shipping. What the hell? So I'm not sure what to think but it's just a bunch of people trying to make a buck, where it used to be people legitimately trying to get rid of old stuff now it's just a bunch of freakin crooks. Be very careful...

You never know nowadays. You always have to be on your toes and even when you're super careful, stuff like this happens. Good luck with everything man...hopefully you get your money back or even better the part you ordered!

the deal with selling cheap and charging alot for shipping is to avoid a higher listing fee. your original listing fee is calculated by how much you start you bidding at, or how much you list it the "buy it now" for. best to stay away from those kind of sellers.

Be careful with this. I am extremely wary of all positive reviews because there are ways to get around Ebay's system and generate false sales/reviews. Don't ask me how - trying to wrap my head around it when I was reading it made my brain break. Ha.

yeah, i like to deal with ebay ppl that have similar ratings to mine - one gal basically told me to F off and she'd give me a neg which would hurt me way more than it would her.

There's a link to report such high shipping down at the bottom of each item, "Report This Item".

There are those of us who have 1000's positives and only 1 or 2 negs. We're not out to rip anyone off. Show me a B&M store that can match that kind of satisfaction.

Default update on ebay scam

GREAT NEWS!! I come home from work on last Friday and what is setting on my porch? You guessed it!!! SPRINGS!!! Pay Pal was the difference....once I disputed the purchase, it wasn't more than a week and the Srings showed up. A friend is going to help me install them next week, then I will install my new tire/wheels!!!
Thanks for all the support!

I was not saying it's not possible to have that kind of feedback, just to be careful. I usually look for feedback that is *all* overly generic sounding - and sometimes you'll catch repeats.
