when i drive my rear doors make a little rattling sound? like if i tap around the door handles with my fingers it makes a vibrating noise, is that normal?

 

I have my rear seats down right now, and I do hear a rattle....It's drowned out right now by the leaf that is in the vents...LOL

 

my whole box is a rattletrap, but y, i think it's normal

 

Somewhere in my driver side front door or in the dash on that side there is a rattle that I only hear when going over rough road at low speeds. It sounds similar to the time Ford left a complimentary socket in my car's door.

 

I'd recommend foaming the interior door panels - heck maat and foam the whole dang xB. I still have to foam my rear doors my the vibrations and etc are drastically reduced.

If I pay attention to the rattles, my xBox might make me crazy too, but I don't . . . . Besides, rattles are relative, and compared with the old clunky '92 Grand Voyager it replaced, my xBox is absolutely SILENT going down the road, over the tracks and around the curves. Relatively.

 

if you are in warenty and dont have subs in it take it to the dealership and they will fix the rattle. i generally fix about 1 rattle a week untill it gets warm again then its more like 2 to 3 a week

 

i guess im one of the lucky ones, havent heard a squeak in my box yet.

maybe my box is the golden child of the scion line, no scratches, no rattles, no squeaks, nothing.

i have a rattle under my dash like directly in front of me on the dash. its probably just a loose wire or something so i am not bothered by it, its been there since the day i bought the car, i figure ill have it checked out this week when i go to get it serviced for my road trip

 

after having an 05 tC with the moon roof rattle, hatch rattle... Im happy to be driving my xB!!!
