Wiring In Parallel Question
what up I just recently installed my kicker solo baric l5 12" with my alpine mrd-m605 amp. It hits hard but I dont think its hitting as hard as I thought 600 watts to be. I dont know if I wired in parallel right so let me know please.
I took the positive wire, ran it through both positive coils. All I did to the wire was expose it so the coils could clamp onto it. Didnt cut the wire or anything except for exposing it to the coils. Hopefully that makes sense. And I did the same for negative. Now is that the right way or is it completely wrong??

me neither i dont get it. so i guess all the wiring is correct and everything. I guess it has to do with the amp settings. Ill go mess around with it and see what I can get but im still in the break in period of it so i aint pushin it too crazy
Here is a wiring diagram for your speakers.
Just select the speakers you have and you will notice that you can wire them in Parallel in more ways than one. And every way gives you a different Ohm amount.

See if that helps in any way
