HMMMM?????.....
well, right now Im getting the funds "SAVING"..lol.....for the Dezod stage 1 turbo kit.....but I already have the HKS hi-power exhaust...Now Im thinking about taking some of the money and getting the injen CAI..just for temporary performance..and to push the exhaust a little more.......should I do that, or should I just ride stock (under the hood) until I get the kit..???? Please give opinion..
^^ Good advice. A CAI gets you something that looks nice and sounds nice. That is it. IF you want that, then that is cool, but it sounds like you want something that is a noticeable improvement. If you want to spend less than 1000 dollars and get a real performance improvement that you will notice (other than a fraction of a tenth on the 1/4 mile... big deal unless you are actually a serious racer, in which case you would be on a forum for cars with RWD and larger engines
), go with suspension upgrades. Stiffer sway(s), decent springs and some good tires will make a huge difference in an area you can enjoy during daily driving, even without driving like a maniac. Immediate and noticeable improvements. If you want speed, then save up and get a good FI setup and do it right.
Flywheels make a tiny difference in acceleration, but make reve matching easier, but are spendy if you dont know how to install yourself.
Headers and exhaust, tiny increase in reality and you wont notice it a bunch on the street.
CAI, noise maker and under hood bling. And less performance after sitting a few minutes heat soaking.
TRD Rear sway: Cheap, quick to install and definite improvement.
Springs: Cheap, not too bad to install and a good improvement
Tires: Well,, you have driven on stocks.. so you know where that will get you!
Just some more ideas to shrink your wallet
