Default ECU question HKS F-CON IS or Unichip for Supercharged tC

Ok I am gettting my TRD Supercharger installed on Tues. (YES !!) , and I am planning on getting a piggyback computer to get the most out of my setup. I already have exhaust, wires, pulleys, CAI , s-pipe, mid-pipe and all of that, so I am really looking for power. I opted no turbo because I want the warranty. That being said my debate is over the Unichip or the new HKS F-Con Is. I am leaning to the HKS, because of their long history of great perfoemance. I am also hearing great things about the Unichip. The Unichip will come PNP, pre-tuned. The HKS I will have to get tuned, and I don't know if there is a harness made for the tC or a compatible Toyota. The prices are very similar so it is a hard debate. I plan also on running one of the 12lb pulleys so I need what is going to be the very best quality. You guys always have great info so I need your help.

You're going to have to get tuned regardless.

I'd say go with the GReddy EManage Ultimate - Dezod makes a PnP harness. You will probably find it easier to find a tuner for it too.

Ummm.... not to be a kill-joy or anything, but if you plan on doing those mods to the SC, you can just about forget your warranty.

Check around the boards... there is a load of posts of folks who got hosed by their dealerships or TRD (some rightly, some wrongly) for mods...

just be careful... thats all.

Pulleys for S/C= Bye Bye warranty, also Yes to get an e-manage Ultimate, way easier. Also, I haven't seen an F-CON used for the tC. Most F-CON are used with RX-7s and such. But if u go that route, then GOOD LUCK.

If you can get your hands on the kit before the shop does pull out the tamper proof pulley cap. Also make sure that you keep all the OEM SC parts to put it back to stock should you need to. Good luck and I look forward to your build up!
