If the stock intake mani is ported, what could be used to gasket the IM and throttle body together? Make a new gasket the old fashion way?

 

The stock gaskets are actually O-rings so you will not be able to use anything else

 

yeah you will have to use the o-ring, it just limits you on how far you can port. So don't port too close to the gasket.

 

There isn't enough space, this is the same gasket used on the stock manifold.

 

yet another reason why you need a custom built intake manifold.

 

I see that maybe it can be streched to maybe 1mm more. Like from 55mm to 56mm. :D

 

probably not worth it.

Well, I was thinking, maybe we could fab a gasket of our own using maybe a metal one with rumbber inserts for the press-down part on the gasket, or maybe made from a normal gasket insert with addhering the rubber part for seal on the cut-down part.
