Sup fella's ... So for Chritmas I bascially asked for axle back, cai, short throw shifter, pulleys, and lower springs. What I don't get from "Santa" I'll probably be buying myself.

I'm willing to pay someone to come down and help me install these things, or better yet find someone who likes doing it for fun. I would take it to a shop, but they are less likely to let me stand there and watch them. I've never really worked on cars. I've worked on my bike a little bit, but there is not as much to get around.

I live in Tiverton, RI if anyone knows where that is. Kinda near Newport, RI. I have minimal tools except for an air compressor ( I heard air tools really help with the pulleys and springs ) and basic ratchet/wrench set.

Anyways if anyone wants to help an unexperienced mechanic become more experienced I'd greatly appreciate it. Maybe I'll even fix your computer for you :P

I figured the axle back and cai would be pretty easy..but looking at a walkthru for the short shifter..it seemed pretty difficult...or not so much difficult, but a lot could go wrong :)

yeah, pulleys and springs require a bit of effort.

talk to DaveDavetC (ScioNRG RI VP) since he goes to school at URI. Hes done exhaust and intakes on the tC before. He claims he's really good at doing intakes, and exhausts are super easy.

tCKnight (ScioNRG MA VP) has done SS'ers before and seems like he's good at that...

Ive done springs numerous times but I dont have a spring compressor available not do I have the time with my fiberglass project and full-time fiance...

But if your a member of ScioNRG, Clair Scion does offer labor at $22 an hour, although Im not sure what we are going to do now since they are our club sponsor but out liasons no longer work there. A few people have called to have work done on their Scion and just got a response from service similar to "wtf? who are you?".... but PM tCKnight because he's the MA VP and he's the one thats been handling the Clair/ScioNRG relationship.

How does one become a member of ScionNRG :)

Maybe a dumb question but what are SS'ers? Short Shifters?

ill do the intake for 15-20 bucks nad the axleback the same.
springs (depending on which ones) will cost more. and pulleys i cant do (dont have strong enough tools).
