I was thinking about this the other day. In a magazine (road and track or car and driver) I read that a stock xB has a .74 lateral g grip and does like 63.something on the slalom course. I have a 2 inch drop and 17's on my box and the handling charachteristics are like night and day...SOOOO much better at gripping AND leaning.
The difference between a mini cooper and a mini cooper"s" is .79 for the cooper and .87 for the "s"....and the mini cooper comes standard with bigger wheels and higher performance tires then the box....

How well do you think a properly modded xB could do in these same tests? I know mine handles WAY better than the stock xB. The base price for an xB is 14000 and my suspension mods are about 1500......

im not sure u can judge that without taking it out on a skid pad. guestimating isnt really correct when theyre measuring to the hundreth on lateral g's. also tho u have to figure the power too not just suspension. notice the mini cooper s has about 50 horses more than a regular. 8)

idk if this will help maybe somebody with more knowledge can tell u more

All I have to offer is my seat of the pants driving impressions, but with the TRD springs, 18" wheels, and Hotchkiss STB, my xB handles VERY well on the canyon roads around here. Better than stock, not as much body lean, more responsive.
