ok.. we're talking about the safety of the car here and there's people buying brakes on ebay??

hmm.. ;no:.. you usually get what you pay for.. and for something this vital... ebay wouldn't be my source.

you can take alook at stoptech's website and run a search for brake upgrades made for the tC. very good selection with very good quality... and they are a wonderful business to deal with.

Unless you are trying to compete seriously on a track, I reccomend nothing more than a set of good pads. If you want better pedal feel, maybe some stainless lines. Dont expect a big increase in stopping power, the tC does pretty well in the braking area.

But as squall said, stay away from ebay! It is the brake system!

I have had a lot of success with the pro-stop powerslot rotors and Hawk Pads on my last two cars (wrx / civic si). I am waiting untill I need to replace stock from wear.

But honestly you aren't going to tell the difference for daily driving. Drilled rotors, pads, big brake kits all dont actually reduce the stopping power of the car, it just makes it more consistent (reduces brake fade).
The tC fades super bad after about ten hard stops in row. autoX in a stock tC is like driving on ice after the 6th or 7th corner.

For pads, I went with a lower dust option since I dont compete (I may hit some of the few autox events here next year, but nothing serious in this car). I went with the Axxis Deluxe Plus and couldnt be happier with them. Whatever pads you get, do a proper bed in procedure and you will see better results.

Also, it is important that you do a balanced brake upgrade. Many people just throw some slotted/drilled rotors on and think its good just because it bites earlier. In reality, oftentimes they end up increasing their stopping distances.

Slotted/drilled rotors really don't have a function anymore for non-pro race purposes. It's mostly for looks.

Go with what engifineer said... just upgrade the pads and make sure to break them in properly (refer to stoptech's site for tips on how to do this).
