I got the factory auto-dimming mirror for Christmas, followed all the instructions to a T. It works fantastic - however -- are you supposed to have to manually turn the mirror off and on? I figured it would power up with the car, but it is constantly on. Anyone one else have this problem? I'm worried about forgetting to turn it off when I get to work at 330am, and killing my battery. Any help would be appreciated fella's.

humm...might have to use the power for it from something turned on my the ignition...that would be the only way i know how to go about that...

need someone who has done a lot of wiring on the tc...not me

Thanks guys.. Tanatalizedmind - does yours turn on and off with the car? I was thinking if I tapped a diffrent wire and it lost power everytime I shut the car off I would have to reprogram the garage door opener every time, and it probably wont work unless the car is on.. Correct?

 

i got the mirror from ebay for $190 but i had to pay like another 100 to install it, mine turns off when i take the key out and the memory works perfectly.
